The days are not afar
when we all would be known by numbers!
Bar
codes for tamper proof identification and then the following three numbers for
day-to-day transactions:
1)
UID- Unique Identification number (for citizenship and all those things)
2)
Bank account number
3)
Mobile number
The
days of having a passport or a driving license are also numbered for UID would
be a comprehensive identity having all these details. What is more, with global
convergence the UID may transcend the national boundaries, as Euro did in case
of the European Union!
Now
don't sneeze at this idea by beckoning at PIIGS- Portugal, Italy, Ireland,
Greece & Spain- the EU countries, which are in a dire strait :) ... Rather
start humming the tune "Ab mera number aiya hai"* :)
